Experience integrated systems in action across Barcelona

Across the whole week of ISE 2025 (Monday to Saturday), organised tours will take visitors behind the scenes of major AV installations in Barcelona. 

More tours will be announced over the coming weeks.

Registration for ISE Tech Tours opens in December (for Monday and Saturday tours) and January (Tuesday to Friday tours).

Transforming Paediatric Care: Inside the Cortex and Patient Robotics

Monday 3 February, 10:00-13:00

The SJD (Sant Joan de Déu) Barcelona Children’s Hospital features an advanced control centre named Cortex, designed to enhance patient flow management and contact with patients and families. This centre utilises real-time data to monitor key aspects like hospital occupancy, admissions, discharges, and resource availability, which helps in improving patient care and reducing wait times. 

Visitors to the control room can expect an intriguing experience, as the tour will also highlight the hospital's innovative use of robotics in both hospitalisation, preoperative settings and to help palliative paediatric patients at home, along with insights into a new study focused on emergency-care waiting rooms.

Beyond Reality: Immersive Center at Westfield La Maquinista

Immersive Center, located in Westfield La Maquinista shopping center in Barcelona, offers a revolutionary immersive experience by Blanco y Negro. This multi-user VR adventure enables participants to explore diverse worlds using cutting-edge technology like VR headsets and tracking systems, with sessions lasting around 25 minutes.

According to Ricard Tomas, co-Director of Blanco y Negro, “Visitors will discover the latest in virtual reality, storytelling techniques, and insights into running a VR setup, transforming retail leisure into interactive explorations”. Currently, the Immersive Center features Hotel Dracula, with new virtual tour announcements for 2025 on the horizon.
