Transforming Paediatric Care: Inside the SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital Command Center and Patient Robotics

Monday 3 February, 10:00-13:00

The SJD Barcelona Children’s Hospital (Sant Joan de Déu) Barcelona Children’s Hospital features an advanced Command Center, designed to enhance patient flow management and contact with patients and families. This centre utilises real-time data to monitor key aspects like hospital occupancy, admissions, discharges, and resource availability, which helps in improving patient care and reducing wait times. 

Visitors to the Command Center can expect an intriguing experience, as the tour will also highlight the hospital's innovative use of robotics in both hospitalisation, preoperative settings and to help palliative paediatric patients at home, along with insights into a new study focused on emergency-care waiting rooms.

As part of the ISE tech tour, Emili Planas Quintana, CTO and Operations Manager and Isaac Bergada, Virtual Production Manager will showcase its newly refurbished virtual production studio and newsroom in Barcelona, highlighting Mediapro's role in revolutionising media production.

FC Barcelona's Barça Immersive Tour

Friday 7 February, 09:30-12:00

Visit the Barça Immersive Tour, home to the largest immersive room in any European sports museum.

Mediapro Xperiences, the firm responsible for the museum's curation, design, and technological integration, will take visitors on an in-depth guided tour 500sqm immersive space featuring an innovative 360° production. This experience employs deepfake technology to bring football legends such as Johan Cruyff, Andrés Iniesta, and Lionel Messi to life.

Alfa5 XR Sports: Barcelona’s Playground for Tech-Enhanced Athletics

Friday 7 February, 14:00-17:00

Barcelona’s Alfa5 XR Sports Center merges technology with physical activity in a 2,000sqm space powered by extended reality (XR).

Located in Poblenou, it blends virtual reality, augmented reality, and motion tracking to create interactive sports experiences. Highlights include the XR Arena for futuristic soccer, a projection-mapped climbing wall, an AR laser maze, and VR simulations of extreme adventures like scaling Mount Everest.

Join ISE for an exclusive Saturday tour at the Barcelona Aquarium, presented by Trison.

Discover Trison’s groundbreaking innovations, where technology and creativity redefine immersive spaces. Highlights include a mesmerising 3D façade, a holographic welcome experience, and a reimagined ticket hall featuring an underfloor LED digital sea paired with a stunning LED water ceiling.
