Securing the Future of Integrated AV Technologies
Thursday 5 February, 09:00-12:00 / CC5.1
Cybersecurity has evolved into a business-critical factor. It is essential for accessing public tenders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing long-term trust with clients. This holds particularly true in key sectors such as healthcare, transport, education, and government, where security breaches can have massive repercussions.
The inaugural CyberSecurity Summit will present the key topics and issues that affect us in real time. It will enable delegates to understand the priorities, make them their own and leave with a roadmap that they can adapt for their own business and strategy decisions.
In an era where digital threats extend far beyond traditional IT concerns, the audiovisual (AV) sector finds itself at a pivotal juncture. As AV systems increasingly intertwine with critical infrastructure, smart buildings, control rooms, and public services, they have become prime targets for cyberattacks. This evolution occurs amidst a climate characterised by cybercrime, digital warfare, and rising global tensions, underscoring the urgent need for enhanced cybersecurity measures in the AV domain.
Worldwide, governments and industries are responding to these challenges with stricter cybersecurity regulations. These frameworks include NIS2, ISO 27001, eIDAS, and Spain's ENS, each designed to secure systems through mandatory compliance measures. These regulations significantly impact AV manufacturers, integrators, and technology users by reshaping how systems are designed, deployed, and managed.
Today, cybersecurity has evolved into a business-critical factor. It is essential for accessing public tenders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and developing long-term trust with clients. This holds particularly true in key sectors such as healthcare, transport, education, and government, where security breaches can have massive repercussions.
The Summit will bring a diverse range of professionals integral to advancing cybersecurity within the audiovisual ecosystem, including key decision-makers, technical experts, and regulatory authorities. Attendees will range from AV manufacturers and integrators to public and private sector leaders managing critical infrastructure projects. Cybersecurity officers, standards organisations, and certification bodies are also key participants.
This inaugural CyberSecurity Summit will present the key topics and issues that affect us in real time and will enable delegates to understand the priorities, make them their own – and leave with a roadmap that they can adapt for their own business and strategy decisions.

Summit chair is Pere Ferrer i Sastre, a senior public executive and strategic advisor with over 15 years of experience in leadership roles across public safety, digital transformation, and critical infrastructure governance.
From 2019 to 2024, he served as Director General of Police for the Government of Catalonia, where he led the strategic planning and operational transformation of a 20,000-strong police organisation with an annual budget of €1.5 billion. Among his key initiatives was the approval of a new organisational decree that, for the first time, created a General Commissariat for ICT, tasked with leading the force’s digital strategy and technological innovation.
As Chair of the CyberSecurity Summit, he brings his understanding of how cybersecurity intersects with AV systems, critical environments and regulation, fostering dialogue between technology providers, institutions and integrators to help build a safer, smarter AV ecosystem.
