Esports Arena

Hall 8.1 (Stand 8B100)

In collaboration with:

LVP

Produced in collaboration with LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO), one of the world’s leading operators of global esports competitions, the Esports Arena at ISE 2025 is one of the premier showcase attractions for the newly opened Hall 8.1.

Supported by Barcelona City Council.

Uniquely at an AV trade show, the 1,000 sqm Esports Arena will do three things:

  • Generate the excitement of a real-life esports tournament, with professional esports players competing in front of a live audience over all four days of the show
  • Showcase the AV and broadcast technology that goes into esports production
  • Educate the ISE audience over four days with a series of talks and presentations that interrogate different aspects of the world of esports

Tournament

Esports professionals will compete against each other every day, with the action and live commentary streamed on Twitch. From the Arena’s raked seating areas, ISE attendees can follow the action on giant LED screens. During the week they will also have the opportunity to compete among one another and with the pros.

Featured Games

Four well-known games - FC25, MotoGP, Fallguys, and Rocket League - will be played over the course of the week, with a different game featured each day.

Content Programme

Interspersed with the gaming, the Esports Arena will feature a daily schedule of Technology Showcases and Arena Tours focusing on the key of audio, broadcast and display components that comprise the arena.

Leading esports experts and the LVP (GRUP MEDIAPRO) team will also participate daily in talks and presentations. Topics will cover technology innovation and integration, esports trends, and the impact that esports are making on live production and on the coverage of conventional sports and entertainment events.

Technology in action

Esports events are a benchmark for the application of cutting-edge AV and broadcast solutions – pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in live event production. The Esports Arena will showcase the latest technology in a fully operational facility broadcasting live each day. ISE visitors can watch the production crew in action as they operate the different elements of the broadcast.

It’s a unique opportunity for ISE attendees to get a technical insight into the production and broadcast of an esports event.

AI speech translation and captions

For the third consecutive year, ISE’s official language accessibility partner, KUDO, will be providing AI speech translation and captions across several stages and conference rooms for the show’s 2025 edition. Attendees will be able to access all the keynotes, panels, and presentations in the language of their choice by scanning a QR code from their smartphones or tablets, then following the translated audio and/or subtitles.

KUDO

Designed for ease of use at events, KUDO AI requires no app download or account creation; scanning the QR code opens a new browser window from which attendees can select both an audio and captions language, depending on whether they wish to follow the translated speech or simply read the subtitles directly from their screen. Translated audio and captions are entirely AI-powered, in real time, and require around 1% of the bandwidth needed to stream an average YouTube video from a smartphone, making them easily accessible via 4G or the guest Wi-Fi available at Fira Barcelona Gran Via.
