Cicelia Deane is a TV Commissioner, Executive Producer and Editorial Consultant with over 20 years’ experience developing culturally resonant unscripted content for UK and international audiences.

She was previously Editorial and Commissioning Executive at BET UK (a subsidiary of Paramount), where she led the development and delivery of original long- and short-form unscripted content across broadcast, streaming and digital platforms, including Channel 5, Sky VOD and BET International YouTube. Her work sits at the intersection of creators, broadcasters and platforms, with a growing focus on audience-led IP, hybrid funding models and content designed to travel globally.

At BET UK, Cicelia oversaw several award-winning and nominated titles, including The Evolution of Black British Music (RTS Arts Award winner 2023), Mission Motherland, Darcus Beese: In His Own Words, Dating Black, Big Money Munch, Now You Know with Julie Adenuga, GARMS: Black Culture’s Influence on British Fashion, Living Lyrics and Moments That Shaped Queer Black Britain.

Before commissioning, Cicelia built her career as an RTS and BAFTA-nominated Series Producer, Series Editor and Production Consultant. Her credits include The Rap Game UK (BBC Three), Yo! MTV Raps, Sort Your Life Out (BBC One), Grand Designs, Celebrity Big Brother, Come Dine With Me, Tattoo Fixers, The Only Way Is Essex, Inside SBTV: From Bedroom to Boardroom and Celebs Go Dating.

Earlier in her career, she led the content team at youth marketing agency Livity, developing digital-first factual and entertainment series for young audiences, including The 4:01 Show, backed by Public Health England.

Cicelia is passionate about championing talent and exploring how creators, commissioners and platforms can evolve together in a changing media landscape.
