But artificial light and modern and lifestyles have increasingly disrupted this daily cycle, further challenged by recent advancements in lighting technology. Human-Centric lighting focuses on what people physiologically need from light, optimising the lit environment to boost human performance and wellbeing. This course delves into the principles behind why human-centric, bio-adaptive lighting is so important. Topics include the composition of natural and artificial light and how we as humans respond to it, including colour temperature and luminance levels.
