With 18 years of experience in the live events industry, James Chapman has played a pivotal role in
delivering special projects across concert touring, theatre, art, sculpture, motorsports, and brand
activations. His expertise lies in managing complex, large-scale productions, ensuring seamless integration
of scenic builds, technology, and engineering.
James has been instrumental in delivering projects for high-profile productions, including The English
National Ballet, The Little Mermaid Live Action Show, Shawn Mendes, Spice Girls, Rammstein, Take That,
and Robbie Williams. His ability to navigate diverse creative and technical demands has made him a trusted
partner in bringing ambitious projects to life.
Prior to joining TAIT, James worked at Litestructures, where he led teams in delivering high-profile projects
and managing key accounts for Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Lexus, Fiat Chrysler Group, and the London Design
Festival/Biennale. He collaborated with world-renowned sculptors such as Frank Stella and Alex Chinneck
and worked with Formula 1 and its race teams - including Mercedes, Red Bull, and Renault F1 - to develop
innovative solutions for motorsport events.
During his time at Litestructures, James progressed through roles as Project Manager, Head of Special
Projects, and Project Director. Following the merger with TAIT, he took charge of the Scenic Division of
Brilliant Stages, Wakefield, before transitioning to his current role in Business Development.
James’s depth of industry knowledge, combined with his experience in scenic design, engineering, and
client management, ensures that TAIT continues to push creative and technical boundaries across the live
events sector.
