The first Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) tradeshow was held in Geneva, Switzerland in February 2004. Since then, the annual event has grown from 120 exhibitors and 3,500 visitors, to a record-breaking 14th year that saw ISE 2017 host almost 1,200 exhibitors and welcome over 73,000 visitors through the doors of the RAI Amsterdam.
This further confirmed ISE’s position as the largest AV and systems integration show in the world.
As well as ISE, Integrated Systems Events LLC organises a series of industry conferences during the year. This includes Digital Signage Summits in a number of locations around the world, including DSS Europe, DSS Africa, DSS Orlando and DSS ISE (all held in 2017) and the Smart Building Conference, which took place on the day before ISE 2017.
ISE 2017 saw 1,192 of the world’s leading AV equipment vendors and service suppliers showcase the latest technology for the digital signage, unified communications, audio, smart building, residential and education sectors.
The show prides itself on attracting new attendees each year. After attracting over 65,000 attendees in 2016, another new attendance record was set in 2017 when over 73,000 visitors attended ISE 2017, of which 17% were attending for the first time. This adds up to a solid endorsement of the show’s pulling power and a major incentive for ISE exhibitors to return and tap into the new business opportunities being presented. We are confident that with our targeted marketing campaigns, designed to attract more people into the ISE fold, this trend will continue in 2017.
Maintaining its reputation for connecting new technologies, companies and end-user industries, ISE will continue to present an exciting show floor, featuring thousands of product launches, as well as a packed education and events programme.

Numbers are one thing but they only count if the people on the show floor are happy. Companies and visitors attend ISE to be part of the largest AV systems integration show in the world and to build their understanding of the latest innovations and technologies that are driving the industry forward. We spoke to visitors and exhibitors at the show to find out how they felt about the latest installment of ISE. These are the voices of ISE.
Strong and sustainable event growth – year after year
Since its launch in 2004 ISE has grown year-on-year at a phenomenal rate with each event delivering higher numbers of exhibitors and attendees.
Almost 1,200 companies exhibited at the four-day ISE 2017 and this rapid growth is one of the primary reasons for the decision to expand the floor space once again for 2018.
The sharp growth in size of ISE was the primary driver for the decision to increase the exhibition to four days in 2016. Four days gives exhibitors more ‘face time’ with attendees and affords attendees a longer period to visit stands and to take advantage of the many conferences and educational programmes on offer.
ISE is seen as a major launch-pad for manufacturers and service providers to propel new products and solutions into the AV and systems integration marketplace. Such activity inevitably attracts the media and in 2017 over 600 editors, technical writers and news journalists attended the exhibition.
By the time ISE 2017 closed its doors last Friday 10 February, Integrated Systems Europe had proven unequivocally why it is the international destination of choice for AV and systems integration professionals.
