While its use has been steadily rising for years, unified communications saw a significant boost in uptake thanks to the pandemic. It has now become the norm for professionals to take part in collaborative meetings whether they are present in the meeting room, in their home office, or travelling on business. And this shift has also changed the emphasis on the role of offices as places that enable collaboration rather than accommodating solo workers.
At ISE 2022, the Unified Communications & Education Technology Zone is in Hall 2. But there are many more technologies of relevance to the corporate world at ISE…
AV over IP: Rather than running over dedicated infrastructure, AV signals increasingly share networks with general IT traffic – and that is a particular trend within corporates. At ISE you’ll find numerous suppliers of IP encoders/decoders, switches and other elements of networking infrastructure.
Smart buildings: The corporate sector is taking the lead in the demand for smart buildings. Hall 2 is where you’ll find the Residential and Smart Building Zone, featuring providers of smart building infrastructure and equipment.
Digital signage: Particularly within larger corporates, digital signage is an important means of communication in reception areas, catering areas and elsewhere. The Digital Signage and DooH Zone in Hall 6 features suppliers of digital signage players, displays and software.
General AV: We haven’t yet mentioned a plethora of other solutions popular with the enterprise market: projectors, large format displays, meeting room booking systems, boardroom microphones, loudspeakers of all powers and sizes, IPTV cameras… the list is almost endless. Fortunately we have a number of online guides available to help you find the solutions you’re looking for.
If you’re looking for a deep dive into the trends surrounding collaboration and communications technologies in the workplace, look no further than ISE’s Smart Workplace Summit. A spin-off from our well-established and highly successful Smart Building Conference, the Smart Workplace Summit helps attendees understand the changing technology needs of businesses, individuals and the environments where they do their work.
