Alfa5 XR Sports: Barcelona’s Playground for Tech-Enhanced Athletics
Tech Tour detailsBarcelona’s Alfa5 XR Sports Center merges technology with physical activity in a 2,000-sqm space powered by extended reality (XR).
Located in Poblenou, it blends virtual reality, augmented reality, and motion tracking to create interactive sports experiences. Highlights include the XR Arena for futuristic soccer, a projection-mapped climbing wall, an AR laser maze, and VR simulations of extreme adventures like scaling Mount Everest.
Alfa5 redefines recreation and gaming, appealing to tech enthusiasts and athletes. Created by Layers of Reality, a leading XR studio, in collaboration with Eurofitness, the center transforms the historic Alfa5 sports complex into a cutting-edge venue offering nine immersive experiences.
This initiative showcases Layers of Reality’s dedication to blending advanced technology with traditional sports, setting a new standard for interactive entertainment and culture.
