The curation of art exhibitions has changed in line with tech innovations in recent years, as seen with installations such as ‘Framless’ and the ‘Van Gogh: Immersive Experience’. With objectless experiences that expand context and reach larger and younger audiences and with narrative tools based on technology providing greater experiences and increased learning and insights, is it the technology and opportunities it provides, driving the development or the curator who runs after it? And, what is the business case for a museum where the physical product and resources support is replaced by marketing people and the acquisition of services that support exhibition concepts and technologies not impacted by the ever increasing infrastructure and operating budgets?
