ISE’s Special Interest Group programmes are designed to bring attendees from specific key vertical market sectors to ISE. Each of them involves helping end-user technology buyers to meet technology vendors and solution partners.
Special Interest Group visits are the result of formal agreements between ISE and a variety of associations, media partners, companies and consultants. These partners invite senior executives to visit the show and to participate in an organised ‘ISE experience’. These programmes are tailored to meet the information needs of the visiting executives with planned stand visits, presentations, networking events and dinners.

The Special Interest Group initiative broadens the show’s attendee base, helps important groups of technology buyers to make more informed purchasing decisions, and drives sales for ISE exhibitors. It’s one more example of how ISE is about Making Deeper Connections.
ISE continues to work with some of these partners in 2021; the Special Interest Group programme will resume in earnest at ISE 2022.
ACCIÓ is the Catalonian Government Agency for Business Competitiveness. Through its innovation and internationalisation programmes, it provides services to 24,000 companies a year.
At ISE 2020, ACCIÓ co-ordinated a Special Interest Group featuring C-level executives from major market clusters, including audiovisual, residential, lighting, smart building, hotels and tourism, and live event production.
AV-Fachsymposium – one of ISE’s longest running programmes – is organised in cooperation with Andreas Promny and Claus Lohse from AV-Solution Partner. The two-day, annual event provides a platform for those interested in media technologies who are from German speaking countries. The programme is aimed at architects, interior designers, facility managers, AV/IT decision makers in public and non-public organisations, as well as building owners.
AV-Solution Partner is the biggest audiovisual media technology network with 14 member companies located at 21 locations in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. It offers integrated solutions for all fields of application of audiovisual media technologies; from comprehensive professional consulting, conceptualisation and planning of sophisticated projects, through to implementation, service, maintenance, and support.
The AV User Group is a community of over 650 members comprised of AV and end user professionals who benefit from each other’s extensive knowledge and experiences. These include professionals responsible for video, audio, data conferencing, video streaming, broadcasts, signage, presentations and the use of collaborative technologies. Members meet at quarterly AV User Group Forums. It is a non-profit organisation financed by supplier sponsorship. All funds are used to deliver AV User Group events and evening networking sessions.
The British Institute of Interior Design (BIID) is the leading professional organisation for interior designers in the UK. The Institute sets national professional standards, promotes learning and debate, and champions the value of interior design on the national and international stage. At ISE 2020, the BIID brought a group of interior designers to the show to learn more about integrating and concealing connected technology into homes for the benefit of their clients.
Grupo eventoplus is a media company based in Barcelona and Madrid. Via print and online media and face-to-face events, it connects and informs professionals within the events and meetings industry: equipping them with the best solutions for their business, helping them to ensure the success of the events that they organise, and supporting their professional development.
Based in the UK and part of the IML Group, Premises and Facilities Management magazine has been reporting on the latest developments in the facility sector for over 20 years and covers a wide range of business and technology topics. This programme is focused on bringing facilities managers to ISE.
SCHOMS is the professional body for senior managers working within UK Higher Education. Its members lead and manage a diverse set of educational, technological, media and institutional development and support services. They give strategic direction to support technological trends and promote excellence in teaching and learning practices and their environments.
The Systems Integration Experience Community is the Italian association that brings together companies and operators in the systems integration market. At ISE 2020 it focussed on bringing Italian architects to the show.
