Simon L. Lachance is a Technical Producer and Director of Technical Design with more than 20 years of experience in live entertainment, specialising in complex permanent and touring productions. His work spans circus, large-scale ceremonies, arena touring shows, immersive multimedia, and musical theatre.

Simon has been part of Cirque du Soleil’s technical leadership, contributing to resident shows and events across Europe, the Middle East, and the Americas. He recently delivered ALIZÉ, Cirque du Soleil’s first permanent European resident show, where he led the Creation Technical Design team blending scenery, acrobatics, magic, rigging, automation, tracking, audio, projection, and lighting.

Recent work includes leading the Creation Technical Design for Helene Fischer: Rausch Live in Germany, developed with Cirque du Soleil and Live Nation, as well as large-format national ceremonies in the Middle East, including the UAE National Day 49th and 50th celebrations. 

He was also a founding development partner of LAB7, The 7 Fingers’ Creation & Technlogy Center, dedicated to research, prototyping, the integration of technologie into interdisciplinary creation.

Simon’s role is to developp the creative vision with technical solutions, elevating artistic intent through solutions that exceed audience expectations. At ISE 2026, he will present ALIZÉ as a case study in large-scale permanent live entertainment, sharing insights into design process, and cross-disciplinary collaboration within highly constrained, performance-driven context.
