Peter Earle
With a career spanning music, technology startups, and global lighting brands, Peter has spent decades exploring how light shapes human experience. After founding and selling an innovative LED lighting company, he went on to work with some of the world’s most influential lighting companies, deepening both his expertise and his conviction that light has the power to shape human experience.
Today, he works independently with leading global brands, as well as ambitious technology startups and scaleups seeking guidance at pivotal moments. He is drawn to organisations with bold ideas and the courage to rethink what lighting can be.
His philosophy is disarmingly simple: DO NO HARM. In practice, this principle becomes a catalyst for something greater—designing lighting solutions that consistently DO BETTER, elevating wellbeing, performance, and the environments we inhabit.
Peter believes that light recipes - the intentional delivery of visual and non-visual spectral ingredients carried by photons - can be designed for the benefit of humans and all living creatures.
He holds a compelling vision for the future: that lighting will be recognised not as a cost to be minimised, but as an investment in human potential. An asset capable of enriching lives, supporting health, and enhancing the way people work, learn, heal and thrive.
Peter is a published author, a contributor to respected industry publications, an experienced speaker, an elected Fellow of The Society of Light and Lighting and a Freeman of The Worshipful Company of Lightmongers.
When he’s not shaping the future of light, he composes and performs music, collects guitars and audio equipment, runs an art lifestyle business, and finds inspiration in wild swimming, travel, boating and yachting.
