Paul Connaughton

Paul is a highly skilled audio engineer with a passion for creating exceptional sound experiences. Starting their career as an in-house Audio Engineer, Paul quickly developed a deep love for the intricacies of audio engineering, honing his craft year on year. After college his expertise expanded to live sound whilst at university, leading him to lecture on the subject while simultaneously working freelance as an FOH/MONs Audio Engineer, RF Technician, PA Tech and then System Technician. With a wealth of experience under his belt, Paul has had the privilege of working at some of the world's most prestigious events, including the FIFA World Cup, the Americas Cup, and the iconic Glastonbury Festival amongst many others. His ability to adapt to various environments and deliver high-quality service whilst keeping a calm, polite and professional manner is what has got him to where he is. Paul Connaughton, now working full-time for a leading manufacturer Martin Audio Ltd, is dedicated to developing training materials whilst sharing his knowledge and passion for audio engineering and Martin Audio systems with aspiring sound professionals. Through his lectures, he inspires the next generation of engineers, emphasizing the importance of both theoretical knowledge, technical skill and artistic vision in the world of audio. Whether on stage, or in front of a classroom, Paul continues to push the boundaries of sound, leaving a lasting impact on both the industry and its listeners.
