Oliver Dodwell-Bennett

Oliver left the Academy of Contemporary Music (ACM Guildford) with a distinction in Music Production and Technology, a job market decimated by Covid, and a live events industry in lockdown. So instead of jumping into that struggling market, he capitalised on his maths skills and joined Moore Kingston Smith, a top 10 Accounting firm in the heart of Soho, where he spent 4 years working directly with a variety of media and production clients. Alongside this he pursued his passion by way of a side hustle running a DIY soundsystem, and organising the events that came alongside it.

Today, Olly continues to own and run this DIY sound system/events crew in his spare time, and takes on work planning and delivering custom soundsystems for others. He recently won the Production Futures BTA “Entrepreneur of the Year” award, and came runner-up in the “Live Event Production Newcomer” category. This gave Olly the impetus to leave the world of Finance and move to AV and live events full time, joining Encore this year where he combines his love of AV kit, live events and spreadsheets to help coordinate their rent
