Nick Roberts
Nick Roberts is a Sales Engineer at Zyxel Networks UK & Ireland, combining deep technical networking knowledge with extensive hands-on experience in AV systems integration, product development and real-world project delivery.
Before moving into networking, Nick worked directly in the AV integration industry, designing and deploying complex audio-visual systems across both high-end residential and commercial environments. His subsequent experience in product development added another perspective — taking technical ideas from concept through development and into practical, deployable solutions. His former colleagues describe him as highly technical, detail-focused and experienced in designing installations that work reliably in the field.
Today at Zyxel, Nick sits at the increasingly important intersection of AV and IP networking, supporting technologies including managed switching, Wi-Fi, cloud-managed networks, cybersecurity and AV-over-IP. He regularly works with partners on the practical challenges behind multicast, VLANs, PoE, network performance and secure connectivity.
Nick has also recently contributed to technical discussions around AV-over-IP, including the realities of multicast, IGMP and designing networks capable of reliably carrying professional audio and video. Apple Podcasts
