Mirusha began her career in media with ITV in March 2020, just two weeks before the first national lockdown, after transitioning from a technical role in the NHS. Starting with the ITV Daytime television brand, Mirusha supported four of their main shows: Good Morning Britain, Lorraine, This Morning, and Loose Women, building a strong foundation for her current work with Emmerdale. She graduated with a first class honours in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Northampton in 2018, and her journey has been one of exploration and growth, showing how diverse pathways can lead to rewarding roles in broadcast engineering.
Outside of work, Mirusha has a lifelong passion for netball. Playing for her local club keeps her competitive spirit alive and allows her to build friendships through sport. When she is not on the court, she’s cheering on Manchester United, watching Formula 1, or planning her next solo travel adventure to experience new cultures and cuisines. Always eager for fresh experiences, she cherish the chance to broaden her horizons.
