
Miquel Marti
Miquel Martí is the CEO of Tech Barcelona, a private non-profit initiative founded in 2013 by leading tech entrepreneurs to establish Barcelona as a global tech hub. Representing over 1,400 tech companies and collaborating closely with public administrations and other stakeholders, Tech Barcelona is currently the largest tech association in Southern Europe.Martí holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from UPC and an MBA from ESADE. Before his role at Tech Barcelona, he served as Innovation and Finance Director at Biocat—the BioRegion of Catalonia—and at Bdebate, the International Center for Scientific Debate. During his tenure at Biocat, he developed Catalonia's bids for the EIT in Health and Food. He also served as director of AIDIT, a joint initiative by the Polytechnic Universities of Catalonia and Madrid that accredits R&D&I activities. Before this, he spent 10 years in executive management roles in the private sector.
