Mike Brooman

Mike is Smart Buildings Director at Vanti, part of Built Cybernetics, and speaks regularly at industry events and CPD sessions on the future of technology in the built environment. He has more than 15 years’ experience helping organisations cut through complexity in building and workplace technology. He has delivered projects across the full RIBA lifecycle in both base buildings and fit-outs, supporting property developers, contractors, consultants and occupiers in creating spaces that truly work for people. His expertise spans enterprise architecture for the built environment, master systems integration, smart building strategy and design, user experience for smart spaces, and the integration of current and legacy technologies with IoT, AI and cloud platforms. This breadth allows him to connect strategic ambition with practical delivery, ensuring technology investments deliver exceptional experiences and lasting value. Mike’s approach is collaborative and people-focused. He is known for achieving alignment across diverse stakeholders and for reconciling technical, commercial and human priorities to deliver demonstrable results. His work has included projects for organisations such as Citibank, Sir Robert McAlpine, Tottenham Hotspur and Canary Wharf Group.
