I have worked in the audiovisual and Security systems integration markets for 18 years, and during this time I have been involved with many cutting-edge technology deployments. I have been at the forefront of IP technology adoption, and in recent years at Ajar Technology, we have been leading the adoption of cloud services and solutions.

My control room experience has been gained in large and small control projects where I have been involved in the end-to-end design and deployment of projects in transport, cyber and emergency services.

At Ajar Technology, I operate in an agnostic and independent role. I always work to achieve the functional and technical requirements on a case-by-case basis in the interest of the personalised control room operation.  

When speaking with the end users in the current control room market, the discussions often focus on cyber security, scalability, and operator benefits. However, Control room managers should also consider how the systems are connected to the control rooms and the benefits and challenges associated with Edge, Core and Cloud Services.

I will provide insights into the different technical system deployments and the considerations that should be investigated before proceeding with a significant control room transformation.
