Matthew Boswell

Matthew Boswell is the Research and Innovation Lead in the Centre for the Creative Economy at Cardiff University and the Media Cymru Programme Manager. He has extensive experience of developing and managing collaborative projects involving universities and the creative and cultural industries to deliver transformative social and economic impacts. As the Media Cymru Programme Manager, Matthew has overall responsibility for the management of a 22-partner consortium of film and television companies, broadcasters, public bodies, and development agencies, delivering a research and innovation programme which has a total value of over £54m.

Matthew's current research explores how the audiovisual sector is responding to the global climate crisis. This research is closely linked to a portfolio of research and development projects funded by Media Cymru and the programme's commitment to creating a green and fair media sector.
