Manel Garcia i Garcia
Manel Garcia i Garcia is the Head of Information Security for the Departments of Interior and Business of the Government of Catalonia, within the Catalan Cybersecurity Agency.
He holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) and a Master’s degree in IT Auditing from ICT. He is certified as a Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) by ISACA.
Mr Garcia has extensive experience in information systems auditing and cybersecurity. He previously served as Director of Systems, Organisation, Human Resources and Banking Services Audit at Banco Sabadell Group, as well as Head of Information Systems Audit at the Government of Catalonia (CTTI). He has also held several positions as Head of Information Security across different departments of the Government of Catalonia, including CESICAT and the Catalan Cybersecurity Agency.
