John Maier
John Maier is the CEO of the newly independent Bose Professional. Before leading the company, he served as an Operating Partner at Transom Capital Group, the private equity firm that acquired Bose Professional from Bose Corporation.
Previously, Mr. Maier was CEO of Blue Microphones, where he guided the company into the consumer electronics market and led it through two successful acquisitions—growing the business twenty-five-fold during his tenure.
Earlier in his career, he held advisory or leadership roles across the musical instrument and professional audio industries at companies such as LOUD Audio (Martin, EAW, Mackie), TC Group (TC Electronic, Tannoy, LabGruppen, Lake), Guitar Center Management, and Alesis Studio Electronics. Throughout these roles, he developed deep expertise in product development, sourcing, distribution, marketing, sales, and organizational culture.
Mr. Maier holds both a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Master of Business Administration. He serves on the board of In The Band, a nonprofit bringing music programs to underserved communities, and advises or invests in several audio and early-stage companies.
