Ed Gilmore

Ed Gilmore is a respected leader in the high-end audio and home automation industry, bringing over 34 years of experience as the founder and owner of Gilmore’s Sound Advice, a premier custom integration firm based in New York City. A classically trained musician from The Juilliard School, Ed’s deep understanding of sound and performance laid the foundation for his future in audio-visual innovation.

In 2015, Ed launched 599W, a state-of-the-art showroom on Manhattan’s west side. This flagship space showcases cutting-edge technologies, including a dedicated cinema, micro-LED displays, advanced audio systems, a lighting lab, and smart window treatments—offering clients a fully immersive demonstration of integrated home and business solutions.

In January 2025, Gilmore’s Sound Advice merged with AHT Global, forming AHT Global–New York—a strategic move that expanded the company’s reach and capabilities throughout the Northeast. In addition to his business leadership, Ed serves on the CEDIA Board of Directors for the 2024–2026 term.
