Derek Paquin

Derek Paquin is Vice President of Smart Workplace Alliances at Diversified, where he leads the company’s smart workplace and smart building platform strategy. His work centers on how audio-visual technologies enable frictionless user experiences, improve operational efficiency, and support data-driven building performance.

In this role, Derek focuses on aligning go-to-market strategies, strengthening the partner ecosystem, and driving scalable, profitable growth by positioning AV as a core layer within integrated smart workplace and building environments.

Prior to joining Diversified, Derek was the principal owner of Sensory Technologies, where he oversaw sales, marketing, product development, and managed services before the company was acquired by Diversified in 2020.

With a broad background spanning ownership and leadership roles across the technology and AV industry, Derek brings a practical, systems-level perspective to shaping Diversified’s strategic direction and its partnerships within the smart workplace and building automation ecosystem.
