David Jackson
David has over 30 years' experience in critical control rooms, culminating as the Head of the London Metropolitan Police's Contact, Command and Control Centres – one of the largest, single emergency service facilities globally. His experience includes both designing and running complex Command & Control models and has substantial experience globally in working with partners. He has previously worked with the South- and South-East Asian authorities responding to the aftermath of the 2004 Tsunami, with the security organisers in delivering the 2007 Cricket World Cup and as a key member of the senior team working with international safety & security partners in the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Having retired as a full-time police officer in 2022 with the highest exemplary rating, David is now a strategic consultant across the sector, with a keen interest in the future of control rooms and the power of data, enabled by technology (and not the other way around), to support strategic and operational command decision making.
