Antonio Pita
He studied Architecture at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education.
In 1988, he moved to Argentina and joined the Film and TV Department of the School of Arts at the National University of Córdoba.
In 1990, he began his career as an editor, designer, and 2D animator.
Since 2001 and to date, he has served as the executive producer and general manager of Prisma SRL.
In 2011, he developed a new area within the production company dedicated to the production of non-advertising content, in which he has participated as an executive producer or associate producer that has led him to participate in a wide range of notable audiovisual projects. Among them are: La Purga (2011), Capitán Dark (2015), Rosita (2018), and Mujeres que nunca me amaron (2022), in roles of executive producer and associate producer.
Among his most recent achievements, Human Resources was nominated for four Ariel awards, and La Estrella Azul was selected as a finalist to represent Spain at the Oscar awards, underlining its international influence and the quality of its work.
In addition to his activities at Prisma, between 2001 and 2010, he taught Editing and Post Production courses at various universities in the city of Córdoba. He actively collaborates in the development of provincial promotion policies, is a founder of the Chamber of Audiovisual Producers of the Province of Córdoba, a member of the board of directors of the Argentine Chamber of the Film Industry and the Argentine Film Academy, and a member of the Advisory Council of the Audiovisual Hub of the Province of Córdoba representing production companies.
