Introduction to the CEDIA/CTA RP23 Immersive Video Design Recommended Practice: A Work in Progress

06 Feb 2025
CC1.4
This 2-hour course showcases mastering level 1 performance of CEDIA/CTA’s RP23 Immersive Video Design Recommended Practice. We will demonstrate the 10-minute video calibration you can do without investing in meters and generators. Every CEDIA member owes at least this level of video quality service to every client! RP23 system design compliance can be achieved via installations of 77” TVs.

The RP22/RP23 Audio and Video Recommended Practices are benchmarks in CEDIA’s guidance for members. Both for the first time in our industry, define A/V performance in four ascending levels with specific parameters for each.

The RP23 Video Level 1 is now complete. Level 1 performance is by far the most important level since it covers the majority of CEDIA member’s installations.

During this course we will review the Level 1 Performance Parameters, and then demonstrate how to meet them using TV’s on-screen menu options and inexpensive basic video tools. No matter what the price point for any video system, it is professional installation that delivers value to your clients. With just a few minutes of your time following RP23 practices, today’s TVs will deliver remarkably improved video quality for your clients.
