CC1.1

For decades smart home technologies have created homes that offer users comfort, convenience and security. Even more, smart technologies are moving towards more environmentally sustainable homes that will help meet the challenges of climate change and volatile energy prices. New building practices, technologies and lifestyles are changing what it means for housing to be suitable for independent living in the 21st century. These benefits go beyond luxury and comfort, and today smart home technologies play an integral part in helping disabled and older people live independently, in energy efficient, sustainable homes. This session will help integrators understand the unique needs of older and disabled clients, guide them through the challenges these clients face, and help integrators use their existing skillset to design personalised, sustainable, and easy to use solutions for their clients.
