Smart buildings, digital transformation and cybersecurity on the IOTSWC agenda

ISE 2022 attendees will have the opportunity to delve even deeper into the world of disruptive technologies at IOT Solutions World Congress (IOTSWC). Visitors will benefit from discounted access to the industry-transformation focused event’s conference programme as well as being able to explore the latest transformational tech in Hall 4 of the Fira.

Organised by Fira de Barcelona in partnership with the Industry IOT Consortium, the 2022 edition of IOTSWC will structure its congress programme around five themes: Business Optimisation, Artificial Intelligence, Connectivity, Security and Customer Experience.

Sessions will focus on use cases that provide clear examples of how disruptive technologies are changing businesses and transforming industries. For example, Bühler will share its Digital Transformation Success Story and Siddhartha Kulkarni will discuss How IOT is Driving Digitalisation and Transformation at Maersk.

Elsewhere, Sultan Aziz, Senior Director, Product Supply Strategy and Management at Johnson & Johnson will speak at a session entitled Workforce Democratisation – How Connected Devices and IoT Enable Real-time Decision Making. A Smart Cities Panel Discussion will feature Tom van Arman, Founder of Tapp – Smart City Architecture, and Mark Apsey, Managing Director, Ameresco, while Arcadis’ Matthew Marson will consider The Financial Value of a Smart Building.

Also on the smart building theme, Bob Snyder, Content Chair for the Smart Building Conference and Smart Workplace Summit at ISE 2022, will lead a panel debating Smart Buildings: Where are we now? He’ll be joined by Dan Isaacs, Chief Technology Officer of Digital Twin Consortium, among others.

In addition, the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress, an annual event co-organised with the Catalan government, will be jointly held on the same dates as IOTSWC. This event brings together the main cybersecurity agents and experts and aims to analyse the current challenges in this field, defining patterns to protect against cyberattacks, and presenting real solutions, tools and success stories to extend the culture of cybersecurity across all industries.

IOTSWC and ISE will be held at Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue on May 10-12 and 10-13 2022, respectively. Visitors will be able to access both exhibition areas at no extra cost, and those registered to any of the ISE conferences will benefit from a 50% discount on the IOTSWC congress programme – and vice versa.
