His primary mission is to craft unparalleled projection experiences around the world through light, story, and design. His company, with design teams in Japan, Poland, and the US, caters to an array of visual styles for a wide variety of architectural spaces, amusement parks, sporting events, or musical festivals. The primary objective in each case is to create impactful imagery that takes an event to the next level.
As well as giving the Opening Address ISE 2019, Panasonic Business and ISE will join forces with Kresa to create a projection mapping showpiece. Sviatovid, an angular, five metre tall projection sculpture, is the successor to the iconic Shogyo Mujo, which debuted at the Burning Man Festival of Arts in Las Vegas in 2017. The new sculpture is set to create a new benchmark in audio visual art and will be illuminated through 360° in True 4K using four Panasonic PT-RQ32 4K, 30,000lm laser projectors.
The world premiere of Sviatovid will mark the launch of the new Bart Kresa Academy, which offers recent art school graduates the chance to learn projection mapping on a training course at Kresa’s studio in Lublin, Poland.
Following ISE, the sculpture will find residence at the Centre for the meeting of Cultures in Lublin.
Kresa has also recently announced a new training programme for mapping artists. The Bart Kresa Academy of Projection Design begins this month and will run until the end of the year, offering recent international art school graduates a unique, skills-based curriculum.
Training will take place at Kresa’s studio in Lublin, Poland, as well as at classroom and gallery spaces at the Centre for the Meeting of Cultures, also in Lublin.
The ISE 2019 Opening Address takes place in the forum at the RAI on 4 February from 18.00.
