Abstract:
How are technologies such as VR, AR and XR being adopted by the AV industry and what impact might they have on different sectors? What advances are being made in mixed reality innovations and how will they continue to evolve?

The following experts will be taking part in this discussion: Glenn Kelly, Head of Production, Imaginarium Studios; Vince McAtamney, Technology Consultant, Vintec; Amelia Kallman, futurist, speaker, author; and Badal Dixit, CEO, PearlQuest Interactive. This session will be moderated by Zoe Mutter, editor, AV Magazine.

Badal Dixit, is an entrepreneur and new media consultant. Originally from India, Badal worked with startups in the emerging technology ecosystem when he was a computer science engineer back in 2008. In 2009, he moved to the UAE and after gaining exposure in the local market, founded his company, PearlQuest Interactive in 2013. PearlQuest is a Dubai-based startup focusing on interactive digital experiences for retail and consumer engagement. The company specialises in areas such as XR (AR/VR), immersive technologies, experiential marketing and digital signage. After working with clients such as ExxonMobil, ADNOC, Phillip Morris and Samsung. Badal and his team has completed more than 200 projects in UAE.

VINTEC Immersive
Vincent is the founder and technology director at VINTEC Immersive. Since 2016 he has embraced immersive technologies, designing and managing several experiential campaigns. He formed VINTEC in Spring 2019 which focuses on the use of immersive technologies to deliver next generation solutions for experiential marketing, immersive training and design visualisation. Already the company has completed several experiential projects with brands including Renault, L'Oreal, Lancome, Jagermeister as well as being the provider of ArchViz renders for a local council. 2020 will also mark the companies first major digital artwork installation scheduled for the late summer. Prior to working within the immersive tech industry Vincent spent 20 years designing and developing custom AV systems for large homes and super yachts. Whilst the industries vary, many of the principles learned in such demanding installations are enabling VINTEC to excel in location based and intelligent AV installations. Vincent speaks mostly with creative agencies and digital marketing professionals and balances a combination of technical and creative knowledge.
