While each ISE show offers a look at some of the product advancements that are shaping industry growth in the present, there are many more out on the horizon. Whether emerging display technologies, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, or other immersive technologies, the future suggests further waves of advancement will help propel the industry. This session by AVIXA, led by Sean Wargo, Senior Director of Market Intelligence, will shed light on what the future of Pro AV holds.

Sean is responsible for leading AVIXA’s must win battle to become an authoritative provider of insights and research for the Pro-AV industry. In this role, he will manage, direct, and serve as a public face for the associations research efforts while exploring new areas of study. Throughout his over 20 years in the technology research sector Sean has made a career of maximising research in a variety of roles, including leading a primary research business, centralising a business intelligence practice, building an industry analysis department, performing advanced statistical analysis, and speaking/ writing about research findings. Sean previously served as VP of Research for BDS Marketing, Inc., President of his own research consultancy, and Director of Industry Analysis at the Consumer Technology Association (CTA). He was also the recipient of the Gold Stevie Award for Maverick of the Year and for Marketing Service Department of the Year in 2014, thanks to his work to improve client reporting at BDS through the integration of Tableau dashboarding.

As AVIXA’s Economic Analyst, Peter Hansen’s job is to understand how the professional AV sector interacts with the wider economy. Peter relishes the challenge of this task, to which he brings a data-focused skillset and a passion for critical analysis. He joined AVIXA from the Federal Reserve Board, where he researched decision making and household wealth. Peter studied Economics at the College of William and Mary and has been published in RealClearMarkets, Finance and Economics Discussion Series, and The Atlantic. A Virginia native, he coaches local youth sports and volunteers as a Master Naturalist. He loves learning languages and would happily discuss the pro-AV world in Spanish, French, or Italian. Well, maybe not Italian just yet. If you see him walking around, stop him and tell him what trend will most affect the pro AV industry in 2020.
