Abstract:
The AV industry has moved to the network for control, audio, and video transport. Whether you and your client decide to deploy a private network or ride along on their existing infrastructure, you need to secure the network. On this ISE Main Stage panel we will discuss best practices for network security, authentication, and keeping the doors closed on hackers and outside attackers.

In a career spanning 14 years in several industries and disciplines, Keren Lipshitz has worked in software and system engineering as well as project and product management. In 2006, Ms Lipshitz began working in AV in both management and technical roles. She has held positions at Texas Instruments, Amimon (WHDI) and N-trig, was a Product Manager for Digital and Secured Products at Kramer between 2013-2016, and now directs Kramer’s Control and Solutions Division. Ms Lipshitz has led large scale tier-1 projects with customers such as Sony and HTC, holds a BSc in Software Engineering and an ME in Systems Engineering, both from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology.

Chris Fitzsimmons is a Product Manager at Biamp and is responsible for several products including those in the Tesira and Vocia product platforms. He most recently oversaw the creation and introduction of SageVue – Biamp’s innovative management and monitoring platform. He is responsible for Biamp’s overall security posture and has a keen interest in the elements involved in the user experience in Biamp’s software offerings.

John brings over 20 years of engineering experience to the industry. He also leads Crestron’s Engineering Security Council responsible for the cybersecurity of all Crestron products and services. John guides the Council’s efforts in establishing standards, tracking vulnerabilities and guiding the submission of Crestron products for US Military security testing.

During his tenure at Crestron, John has been instrumental in the development of many of Crestron’s most successful efforts, always with an emphasis on creating cohesive solutions for Crestron customers. John has been an admired leader and mentor both within Crestron and in the industry. He has contributed to thought leadership on such topics as the differences between intuitive and learnable design, led Crestron Masters sessions on cybersecurity and was recently an Advisory Board Member at Rutgers University.

Previously, John was the Director of Research and Development at Voyetra Turtle Beach, known for designing and manufacturing audio products for consumer, commercial, and healthcare sectors.

John graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. And he has a Certificate in Cybersecurity from Rutgers University.
