AR/VR/MR: Challenges & Practical Applications

AR, VR and MR increasingly play an important role in the customer journey. VR is disrupting the entertainment industry and has recently become more prominent in retail. One example in this presentation is first-mover Emaar Malls, a leading operator of mega malls in EMEA. The Park is the newest feature at The Dubai Mall - a VR feature zone replacing a more traditional amusement area. Digicomm conceptualised the retail entertainment zone and designed some of the VR-rides. This promises to be a fascinating presentation about how AR/VR/MR can work - and the challenges for global roll-outs.

Ibrahim Bakhrani is a leading digital signage expert and co-founder of Digital Communication LLC (DigiComm). Having just finished a major world record-breaking project, he has recently diverted his attention to immersive technologies focusing on virtual, augmented and mixed realities, and how these can be integrated to become a part of everyday life. Recently accomplished projects include: Discovery Channel’s Shark Week Exhibit – the world’s first digital underwater immersive experience at Dubai Aquarium; Emaar Entertainment Group’s VRZoo – the world’s first virtual reality zoo; and the world’s largest LG-powered OLED Display at Dubai Mall.
