Cognitive Collaboration: The future of meetings with AI

Does it take forever to start your meetings? Can't remember the meeting ID or PIN? Difficulty sharing your screen? Cognitive Collaboration describes the user experience resulting from the application of AI and Machine Learning to Collaboration Technology. In this session, you will learn about the underlying speech, computer vision, natural language understanding and conversational AI technology that enable simplified meeting user experiences for collaboration. We will look at the difference that Machine Learning has made to areas like face recognition and automated speech recognition and its role in video centric collaboration.
Speaker Biography:
Keith Griffin is a Principal Engineer in Cisco's Collaboration Technology Group Office of CTO, based in Galway Ireland. With over twenty years experience in the enterprise collaboration industry he works on Cognitive Collaboration; the application of AI and Machine Learning to Collaboration Technology. Keith also focuses on metrics, analytics and data science for Cloud Collaboration. In addition, he leads Cisco’s Collaboration patent and research strategy and works on the technical direction for web browser based collaboration clients. He works closely with customers, partners and analysts to ensure that technology direction is aligned with market needs and continues to work on academic research and standards projects in the collaboration technology space. Keith holds a PhD from the University of Limerick in Ireland related to the use of Representational State Transfer (REST) programmable interface design for communications integration in web browsers.
