Catalan Audiovisual Cluster is back for ISE 2023
The Cluster is sharing a booth with Barcelona City Council (CS300 – Congress Square) and invites visitors to stop by to find out more about its members and what they have achieved.
Building on the new Content Production and Distribution focus for ISE 2023, the Cluster will host two sessions about the emergence of virtual sets with LED screens - a technology that is revolutionising the AV sector.

Lux Machina & virtual production: what's behind 'House of Dragon', 'The Mandalorian' or 'Bullet Train'?

With David Gray, Managing Director of Lux Machina Consulting, a NEP Group, Inc. company. The Catalan Audiovisual Cluster presents one of the key companies in the development of virtual sets, Lux Machina. Based in California, they have worked on major productions such as 'The Mandalorian' and 'House of the Dragon'. In this session Gray will explain the evolution and operation of virtual production, a field in which they are pioneers, through various practical applications.

Moderated by Javier Salinas, Head of the Innovation and Audiovisual Production Unit of Universidad CEU San Pablo.
Virtual production sets with LED screens are set to revolutionise the world of AV. But how is the content produced for this type of production? What technologies and infrastructures are needed? Jóvenes talentos y tecnología: proyectos de la Semana del Talento

Audiovisual Talent Week (Jóvenes talentos y tecnología: proyectos de la Semana del Talento) takes place in November each year. Hosted by the Catalan Audiovisual Cluster, the event encompasses a series of activities aimed at connecting emerging talent from universities in audiovisual disciplines with professionals across the sector. Its main event is the Audiovisual Pitching Session, but it also includes other activities like the market for new professionals, workshops, conferences and networking sessions.
In this session, four university students will present their award-winning projects: IMPACTO (interactive installation) by Gerard Valls, PIXEL SOUND (application) by Thalia Escribano, REMOTE (virtual reality) by David Mallén and RUNES (Podcast) by Guillem Perramon. Each session will be accompanied by members of the jury: Vanesa Alarcón, Mònica Andreu and David Villareal.
