Curriculum Enrichment Partnership bringing the world into the classroom via videoconferencing

05 Feb 2025
CC5.1
Education Technology Summit
The National Video Conference Education Group brings new curriculum opportunities to Primary, Secondary and Special schools across the UK for Enrichment, Raising Cultural Capital and Creating Global Partnerships using video conferencing (VC) technology. Schools wanted a high quality, reliable and cost-effective means to use technology to connect to each other, and to experts, over cloud-based VC, locally, nationally, internationally without having to travel.  Head teachers wanted to enrich the curriculum and raise standards in teaching and learning. The teachers wanted a cost-effective means for teacher training and the school technicians wanted a secure, high quality VC solution to put onto their networks. Schools wanted to be 'greener', and support lower carbon emissions. This case study will outline the technological approach and key successes.
