Understanding the ROI of Smarter Building
This is the must-attend pan-European conference for professionals working in the built environment. This year’s full-day Conference focused on in-building technology and looks at how buildings old and new are becoming smarter. With expert case studies and presentations from the smart building industry’s top executives, integrators, and consultants, the Conference explored what really makes a building smart and how to tap untold ROI that comes from investing in smart technology.
Securing the Future
The 2025 Control Room Summit at ISE continued the conversation from last year around the rise of data and AI in control rooms. This year the Summit explored two aspects of the control room industry which are vital to ensuring a secure future for the industry; cyber security and how to attract and nurture talent.
At the annual Smart Home Technology Conference, CEDIA delved into various subject areas, including technical installation and design, business excellence, and future trends, all within the context of home technology integration. AI and cybersecurity were key themes throughout the programme, and attendees had the opportunity to participate in a diverse range of expert-led daily workshops and courses.
Brands: The New Broadcasters
In its second year, the Content Production & Distribution Summit explored some of the strategies and technologies behind the creation, management, and distribution of video content for promotional and informational purposes. From manufacturers creating the innovations for the AV broadcast market to the practitioners pushing those same technologies beyond their recommended uses. Attendees found out why this is an exciting time to be a content creator.
Beyond Pixels - A holistic view of digital signage
Engaging experiences, sustainable solutions and active experiences need to connect to IoT devices, IT infrastructure, building automation and data backend systems. The Summit explored the usage scenarios of displays, location-sensitive LEDs and projectors with effects that depend on the immediate physical spaces and audiences. Visual solutions cannot be designed and operated in silos any more. DSS ISE 2025 provided a holistic view on how digital signage connects with its surroundings.
Tackling the New Challenges
Running across two half-days, the Smart Workplace Summit at ISE 2025 brought together the three worlds that collide to make the smart workplace: the digital workplace of the IT industry, which improves the employee experience; the encompassing workplace of facility managers, which controls much of the office environment; and the workplace experiences that the AV industry has brought to meeting rooms, lobbies, and open spaces.
New Solutions for New Challenges
The theme of the 2025 edition was evaluating the full force return in 2023 of the live events industry and through its return, what challenges it now faces and what new solutions are available - from breakthroughs in audio technology that enable production to better ‘control’ noise, through to developments in video solutions, which offer audiences a more immersive experience than ever before.
Educating Humans in a Digital World
The possibilities offered by education technology have never been more exciting but it’s important not to lose sight of the fact that we are using these tools to educate people. Humans don’t all come with the same set of factory defaults. This year’s Education Technology Summit looked at designing educational experiences to accommodate the individual needs, preferences and digital capabilities of our diverse learners.
Our industry needs to adapt to the global issues of climate change, nature loss and social resilience. We are both part of the problem and part of the solution. This workshop helped delegates think through with others the impact and opportunity presented by these challenges and how they can profit from these opportunities. Delegates were guided through a practical workshop working with peers and had a workbook with templates for exercises and references to follow on guidance.
With dozens of free sessions, the Smart Home Technology Stage offered an abundance of valuable information, engaging discussions, and learning and networking opportunities. There was a broad array of topics including but not limited to technology, design, business, people and the future. This was a great place to get a holistic snapshot of the smart home industry and to make connections.
