We needed to balance the developing international situation in respect to the pandemic, the concerns of our exhibitors who need to make long term business decisions with an industry that wishes the show to take place, if at all possible, in the first quarter of 2021. We had made a commitment to our exhibitors that a decision would be taken before the end of October 2020 in order to minimize the impact of changing dates for ISE2021. Now that we have been able to confirm the rescheduled dates, we look forward to working together to deliver a successful event in June.
Yes. This decision was made with full consultation with AVIXA and CEDIA in order to ensure the safety of attendees, exhibitors and staff.
We listened to our exhibitors and stakeholders and the view was that a delay until the middle of the year was the preferred schedule; July and August were felt to be too late in the year. Due to the many shows already cancelled and rescheduled for future dates, availability for a show of our size was not possible. With this information we worked with the venue, hotels and travel services and other stakeholders and were able to secure the most appropriate alternative dates in June.
While we understand that multiple shows in a short timeline might not be the most ideal situation for some exhibitors, the pandemic has created new challenges beyond our control. Our combined teams are still working to ensure the community coming back together.
It is very clear from our communications with our advisory committee, and exhibitor and stakeholder communities that they want an event at the beginning of the calendar year. We plan to return to Barcelona and our original dates in February 2022.
AVIXA has confirmed plans to run the InfoComm 2021 event as scheduled, June 12-18, with tradeshow dates as June 16-18 and would only change those plans if instructed to by a public health or governmental authority. Please visit infocommshow.org for more details.

Yes. The TNW activities will provide an inspirational new feature for ISE and we can’t wait to tell you more. We will announce the revised TNW programme in the New Year.

We have been working closely with our official travel partner, bnetwork, in order to secure the best possible arrangements. We are pleased that we have been able to secure the same prices as the original February bookings for the vast majority of hotels. Please contact bnetwork for specific arrangements.
Registration will open on 1 December 2020 and you will be able to register for the show and sign up for any of the conferences.
Whilst we hope that the impact of the global pandemic will be manageable by June next year, we will be closely monitoring the situation. We will continue to put the safety of our exhibitors and attendees at the forefront of any decision we make. All attendees should pay careful attention to the latest travel advice from their respective countries.

ISE 2021 is likely to be one of the first trade shows to run post-pandemic and it will offer the whole industry – organizers, attendees, venue and exhibitors – an opportunity to meet, network, learn and do business face to face and digitally. We aren’t sure what all that will look like yet but we are sure that, as an industry, our passion, ingenuity and innovation will allow for health and commerce together.
