Whether joining live in Barcelona or online, ISE 2021 attendees will enjoy a packed schedule of engaging and thought-provoking content from key industry figures and thought leaders on 1-2 June, produced by ISE, The Next Web (TNW), AVIXA, CEDIA and key partners.
Under the theme ‘The Future of AV’, ISE Live & Online will offer a unique mix of keynotes, roundtables, interviews and presentations live from the Main Stage in Barcelona. The mornings will feature content exclusively for in-person attendees at the Fira de Barcelona Gran Via, mostly in Spanish. From 12:30 each day, Main Stage sessions will also be livestreamed on the ISE Digital platform.
Sessions held on the first day of the show are themed around the pro-AV industry’s role in recovering from the Covid crisis and where the new opportunities lie. Highlights include a Main Stage keynote from Ventura Barba, CEO of the Sónar Festival, at 13:00.
Also not to be missed is a Reporter Roundtable looking at ‘Marketing Tactics in an Online World’. TNW editor Callum Booth will be joined by Rebecca Roth, Social Media Specialist & Imaging Co-ordinator at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center, and Genia Shipova, Chief Marketing Officer at Daily Motion, to look at how businesses have been delivering new leads and driving growth in the absence of tradeshows and in-person networking.
ISE’s co-owning associations are also contributing to the Main Stage programme. AVIXA will present ‘Global Pro AV Outlook: Charting a Path Out of the Pandemic’, on the first day, and ‘Regional Pro AV Trends: A Deeper Dive’ on the second. CEDIA sessions will address ‘Recovery: Navigating the Post-Pandemic Landscape’ on day one, and ‘The Integrator of 2025: What’s Next?’ on day two.
In-person attendees will also be able to enjoy a Spanish-language keynote from Marc Vidal at 10:00 on 1 June. An influential figure in the fields of digital transformation and Industry 4.0, Vidal will discuss ‘Digital Transformation for Tech-led Business’.
The Catalonian Audiovisual Cluster is presenting three sessions across the two mornings. ‘Big Light Shows’ will highlight work from studios including Moment Factory, Onionlab and Minoria Absoluta. Spanish-language presentations will be devoted to recent achievements in the events sector, and an update on AV technology in Spanish universities.
On 2 June, the focus switches to some of the key issues around business success, including sustainability and brand purpose. Tom Raftery, Global Vice President, Futurist & Innovation Evangelist at SAP, will give a keynote for all attendees highlighting the fact that modern society is increasingly concerned with sustainability initiatives. He will also offer advice on the perfect destination for a sustainable business.
Alice K Steenland, Chief Sustainability Officer at Dassault Systèmes, will pick up on this theme during a Reporter Roundtable entitled ‘What’s Your Purpose?’ This peer-to-peer knowledge exchange will consider how to position your brand and service in a post-pandemic world and discuss how important brand purpose really is.
This will be followed by ‘Workspace Planning’, produced in partnership with HDBaseT Alliance and in association with AV Magazine. This session looks at how companies are investing in network infrastructures and hybrid workplace-safe technologies to ensure reliable operations.
Attendees in Barcelona will also be able to enjoy ‘Long Live Retail’, a keynote with Dr María Callis Bañeres, a business retail and design specialist. She will consider the move from omnichannel to phygital experience and the need to take technology from the operational to the strategic level, featuring case studies from IKEA, Barça and MADE.
All attendees will also be able to enjoy three Startup Nation sessions, with companies making quick pitches about their disruptive offerings. Day one will focus on Smart Cities and will include Telegraph Hill Capital, Rokubun, Dexma and brickbro. Day two will look at Gaming and Mixed Reality and will feature startups including freeverse and dynamo.video in the gaming category and Broomx and Enliven in mixed reality.
Also featured across the two days will be sessions produced by key ISE partners, including KNX (Presenting Show Partner), Cisco, Lenovo, Logitech, Sennheiser, Shure and Telelogos, These will explore a variety of topics including smart buildings, hybrid teaching, video collaboration and hybrid workplaces.
