The term “democratization” is being used with increased frequency to describe a range of different trends, as we see increasing convergence between the media & entertainment, professional AV, and IT technology sectors.

IABM has conducted a study to understand how the term is perceived, and how it is being a applied in a practical sense to develop new products and customer groups. This presentation will highlight the different aspects of how democratization will affect businesses by organising data and insights around three core pillars: people, technology, and markets.
