The pandemic saw a rapid growth in the deployment of online learning, as lectures and classes couldn’t be held in person. But this isn’t the only education trend that’s been supported by AV technology.
For a number of years now, classrooms and lecture rooms have been progressing beyond the old ‘chalk and talk’ model. Interactive projection boards or large format displays are the central focus of the room, not only displaying the lecturer or teacher’s writing but also integrating other sources including camera feeds, online videos and specialised educational software. Students can also interact with the main display by means of wireless connection with their own devices. Not only does this lead to a much richer experience, it also enables more flexible and personalised styles of learning.
As well as schools, colleges and universities, these solutions can also be used in boardrooms and training rooms within large corporates or SMEs – anywhere, in fact, where education or training takes place.
