As well as simplifying connecting laptops to video bars, display and codecs, it also extends USB-C up to 30m over a single Cat6A cable. The USB-C is fully specified with power for laptop charging.
Once connected, the Interconnect Kit also provides BYOM which allows users to connect a laptop and use any VC app as the main room video ‘engine’, meaning the meeting room is not platform specific.
The Interconnect Kit is at the heart of a new range of Connect Meeting Room Systems. These complete systems include 55in or 65in displays in single or dual configuration, a wall mount or floor-to-wall chassis with optional freestanding and mobile bases, and an Interconnect Kit with all cables.
Users simply need to add a video bar, connect a laptop and with BYOM they have a multi-platform professional audiovisual meeting room system. It is also possible to integrate a room PC, most codecs and all-in-one video bars, still with BYOM.
Ashton Bentley will be showing two room systems both with the Interconnect Kit at ISE London: a 43in huddle for offices and small spaces with a Bose VB1; and a 65in chassis mount room system with Logitech Rally Bar.
