BrightSign

A decade ago, very few could have predicted how pervasive digital signage would become or understood the technology evolution that would drive its success. BrightSign bet big on the future of digital signage and is reaping the rewards of that wager.

At the time, PC-based signage was all the rage and was driving the early shift to digital. BrightSign accurately foretold the limitations of signage networks tethered to a PC infrastructure, and bet the company’s future on the idea that digital signage would one day be driven by purpose-built devices with the sole function of managing signage content. Consequently, BrightSign steadily gained momentum as digital signage became increasingly centered on dedicated and reliable media players – ultimately emerging as the leading innovator in this evolution.

Since 2011, BrightSign has been the leading manufacturer of digital signage controller hardware – PCs, media players and set-top-boxes are all figured in. According to the most recent market data from IHS, BrightSign has more than double the marketshare of its nearest competitor. This gap has continued to widen over the past couple of years.

Earlier in 2017, BrightSign hit a major milestone when it shipped its one-millionth player. More impressive still, BrightSign shipped over 40% of those million players in the past two years alone, further demonstrating how BrightSign’s players are pouring into the market at a record pace.

BrightSign’s players aren’t just selling rapidly, they’re also winning awards. A few weeks ago, AV Magazine awarded BrightSign’s new Series 3 players a coveted AV Award. Additional industry awards won by BrightSign’s Series 3 line of players include the SCN Installation Products Awards, rAVe’s Best of Integrated Systems Europe 2017 and Digital Signage Magazine’s DIGI Awards.

Despite all this recent success, BrightSign isn’t resting on its laurels. The company has some great plans ahead for 2018, with exciting things in store for ISE 2018 attendees. Without giving too much away, the BrightSign stand will showcase new hardware, partner integrations and software updates that make deploying and managing digital signage easier than ever before.
