unified-comms_lowJoined up thinking is key to Unified Communications at ISE

Unified Communications (UC) is undoubtedly one of the most interesting strands of the AV and systems integration industry, which is why it is such a strong focus for Integrated Systems Europe (ISE). Right at the heart of UC’s development is the convergence of AV and IT. This coming together has been an industry talking point for many years but has become an especially hot topic over the last five years.

These technologies are joining forces in evermore-effective ways and the result is higher levels of collaboration across a variety of sectors. Collaborative learning and development, for instance, is prevalent in both education and in the workplace. Connecting a number of remote parties on a regular basis is how many projects stay online and maintain their momentum. Combining skill-sets, regardless of proximity, is central to getting the best results.

ISE is the key destination in Europe for discovering the latest UC technologies and leading UC professional development. The show covers a range of UC technologies, including: integrated videoconferencing and telepresence systems, remote worker and teleworker technologies, cloud services, networked interactive whiteboards, managed service providers, and collaboration system integrators ICT service providers.

As a growing part of the ISE format, UC has a designated area on the show floor (Hall 11) and its own Show Floor Theatre – also in Hall 11. The show floor hosts over 200 exhibitors that are active in the UC marketplace. Hall 11 may be your first port of call for discovering the latest UC technologies and insights, but there is plenty more to be found around the other halls too.

During ISE 2016, almost 40 sessions were delivered in the ISE Unified Communications Theatre, including: The Future of Corporate Communication, AstraZeneca: Simplicity Drives Collaboration, Connected Rooms – Building Eyes, Ears and Memeory in Every Room, Skype for Business, and How UC Enables Workplace Transformation. There will be even more UC content on offer at ISE 2017 in the InfoComm Unified Communications Solutions Theatre sponsored by Crestron.

ISE 2017 will once again be a key event for anyone interested in Unified Communications.
