Internship Integrated Systems Events M/F

Amsterdam based vacancy, for an internship at Integrated Systems Events from September 2010 – t.b.d.

As an intern you will be part of the Operations Team in Amsterdam, assisting the organization of the exhibition Integrated Systems Europe.
During this exhibition, over 650 companies, specialized in the AV & Electronic Industries (including Samsung, LG Electronics, Toshiba etc.) come to the Amsterdam RAI, to show their products and services.
You will be working closely with the staff members at the Operations Office in Amsterdam, and report directly to the Operations Director of ISE holding company Integrated Systems Events LLC. Besides that you will be in contact with our international colleagues on a daily basis, located throughout Europe.


Operations Intern duties:
The intern will support the team of ISE and makes sure that the administrative preparations, support and handling of the different projects within the exhibition of Integrated Systems Europe 2010 are taken care of.

• Support of the operational requirements of exhibitors in the back office.
• Attend international meetings and report to the team afterwards.
• Deliver and check the needed information for the website, show guide and digital exhibitor manual.
• Support of the Operations team regarding the organization of the show.
• Be one of the contact persons for exhibitors and suppliers during and in advance of the exhibition
• You  will work on-site (at the Amsterdam RAI) at ISE’s exhibition and conference for up to two weeks
• The intern will be responsible for the “education” side of the exhibition.
• The intern will be responsible for the Visa applications of exhibitors and visitors from abroad. 

Besides the above mentioned duties the intern will be fully responsible for a project, that will be discussed during the internship.


Competences/requirements for an internship in the Operations team for  IS Europe:

• Customer friendly

• Solution driven way of thinking.
• React in a flexible, assertive, creative way to the many ad hoc questions.
• Quality driven and hands-on mentality.
• Work well under stress.
• Interested and ‘open-minded’ to different cultures: the intern will be in touch with many different cultures and clients with a wide variety of wishes and demands.
• Archiving and administrating: knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook. Knowledge of Sales force is a plus.
• No 9 to 5 mentality.
• Languages: Proper English is a must. German, French, Italian or Spanish are a plus.

The internship will start in September 2010. The duration of the internship is negotiable.
